The foundation of Ashwini International School was laid in the year 2012. Since then, the school has blossomed in all fields and aspects of enlightenment and education keeping its vision and values the same since day one.
The gradual metamorphosis of Ashwini International School began with 25 students in the pre-primary section, and today is illuminating the lives of around 800 students including pre-primary and primary from classes Nursery to Std X under the guidance and perseverance of the school management, principal, teachers and other staff members.
The school had the basic infrastructure with only few classrooms and other facilities during the year of its inception. As the school continued to expand, many other smart classrooms, activity room, science lab, AV room, computer lab, library and other amenities were added to meet the various needs of today’s education. Considering safety of children as the prime concern, the school installed CCTV cameras in all classrooms and school premises.
To keep up pace with the demand of new methods and teaching strategies, the school conducts various workshops for teachers time to time. Giving equal impetus to sports, the school has a huge skating rink area for the young skaters and a well- furnished play area for the tiny tots.
The school focuses on imparting knowledge for the upliftment of the society keeping in mind the seraphic values. Ashwini International School is the first Heartfulness school in Pune that imparts heartfulness relaxation to the students and heartfulness meditation to all its staff members for their emotional well being.
The major issue which every school is facing today is the diminishing moral values in students and life being more materialistic. The need of the hour is to make students meet today’s challenges in a right way, leading a meaningful life. Most of the schools have come up with the solution of including textbooks to teach values. Taking a pioneering step to meet this challenge Ashwini International School brought values into practice and incorporated Heartfulness Relaxation for students and Meditation for staff as part of the school curriculum. In recognition to the success of Heartfulness Programmes, the Stanford University also made it compulsory in the curriculum. Moreover, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Government of India took initiative to make Heartfulness, a part of NSS and NYKS with a mission to encourage the youth to come forward in service of the nation. So, AIS takes pride to lead the nation to a better tomorrow.
Ashwini International School aims to continue the legacy it started in 2012 and establish itself as a center of knowledge and illumination for the budding florets of the country.
